The treasurer’s report was not available.
The website report was not available.
The guest at our meeting was the communication director for the Edmonton Mopar Association (the new kid on the Edmonton Car Club scene), his name is Spencer Cordingley.. He expressed his club’s ideas and their plans.. The main thing was to address their “branding” of their show n shine this summer using a portion of our Club’s event long time event title.. We were assured that the title that they had chosen would be changed & our event title or portion of it would NOT be used in any way now or in the future.. Their event date is still the same as ours however (noted that any given weekend there could be 4-6 s/s in the area during our short summer, something that every club has to deal with). A promise from him & his club to work with us to avoid any more concerns were mentioned.. Their event is on Aug.26 at the Memorial H.S in Stony Plain.

April Swap Meet
E-mails were sent out to all Edmonton Area car clubs that we have to inform them on the event & date. Jim to discuss with adjoining hotel next to Millenium Place to have a special room rate for out of towners.. Due to the rules/bylaws set out, there will be No outdoor vendors permitted…The club will be at Red Deer on March 25 & at Stony Plain on April 1st to promote the Club & our upcoming Swap meet… The wrist bands for the vendors have arrived.. Scouts Canada may provide a
carry out program for the shoppers at the swap meet, to assist in large items purchased.. We require members to walk about the venue to avoid the possibilities of loss prevention among the vendors & report issues to Roy & Jim.. The club’s website has All the Info on the Swap meet.

Bowties vs the World 2017
The Canadian tire location on Fort Road/132 Ave. is the site & most of the sponsors from last year are on board again. Once the swap meet is done, the work on our event will start.. It only costs $245.00 to sponsor a class (1st & 2nd).. So if you know someone who is interested, have them talk to Jim.

New Business
A local Burger spot is interested in having our group establish a cruising spot during the week.. The Burger Baron on 118 Ave/125 street is the location, Jim to work with the owner and more to come..
A cruise from Nisku to Calmar is also in the works for this summer..
A shop tour to National RV Siding is planned, they do all sorts of metal fabrication & this could be a interesting tour…

A members has inquired about purchasing club jackets, we need a minimal order of 6 or more (that would be nice) to make it worthwhile for the order to go forth.. See Jim if ya’ want one or two.. The prices may have gone up since we last ordered, Jim to check into that area..
A draw for those in attendance for tickets to the World of Wheels car show was done & Roy M. won them..

50/50 draw – Cash won by Jim K. & the A&W pitcher w/ball cap won by Bernie M.
Meeting ended @ 8:15 p.m Recorded by Bernie M. The next meeting April 5th @ 7 p.m at Blackjack’s Roadhouse in Nisku Ab.
