Started the meeting reviewing November & December's meeting( no meeting just our annual Christamas potluck supper), all meeting minutes were accepted by those all present
Treasurer's report was given, our club account remains in V,G order...
The club would like to WELCOME a New Member to our group, Mr. Norman Merlo..
The topic of having the Calmar Car club absorbed by us has been decided by a overwhelming vote, the members have decided NOT TO have them join our group.. Their are too many issues involved what we as a group are involved in over the past 20+ years is very unique,..
The Western Canada Meet is slated for July 19,20 & 21st/2024 in Warman Sask. Brian C. will have more info to pass along at the February meeting..
The 2024 Club Exec has been chosen & we are staying with the same executive for this year..
The membership has approved our presence at the March Swap Meet at Red Deer, we will have 2 tables at our spot.. Drop by and say hello !! It is slated for March 23/2024...
The topic of putting on the 22nd Bowties vs the World show n shine was discussed, a event group has been established to bring forth & develop some new ideas.. One of the ideas was to hold it every year like we have or hold it every second year ( due to the S/S events everywhere during our short summer have "watered down" the amount of events on the week-ends thus causing some events to have low number entrants )
A e-mail was sent out to have members decided and give some feed back...
Since our show started in 2000, we have averaged just under 100 entries each year & have donated around $ 10,000.00 to various charities in the Edmonton area.. Further discussions and a decision to be decided at the February meeting..
The club t-shirts have been ordered ( $25.00 each), our current supply is very low, hence the new order.. If you are not up to date, they are Black with a full back club logo and a front left chest are 4" logo..
A 2024 club calandar was also discussed featuring the member's vehicles.. The pandemic screwed us up with our last calandar sales, we will discuss this topic in February also..
