The Edmonton & Area 567 Club June meeting Minutes June 6th
@ approx..7 p.m 13 members presentThe Interm Prez. Jim K. discussed the May meeting minutes & all members that were present accepted the report. WELCOME a New Member on board, Mr. Sandy Woods.
Club Treasurer’s report was given & the account is very strong, the account report was passed and accepted by all members as well.
This was a brief meeting that involved the Swap meet and set-up. We have some member’s wives helping at the entrance booth and some members to come down on move-in day (Friday) at 8 a.m to set up the vendor booths.
Jim to be at the Registration table from noon till 10 p.m for all vendors to reg. Move-in for vendors is from noon till 9 p.m on June 8… Each vendor spot to have 2 arm bands assigned and extras will be charged $5.00 each. Coffee & do-nuts, muffins etc. to be offered to those who are helping out during the Swap meet.
There will be push carts and able bodies to assist those vendors that require assistance at the Reg. desk.
Doors open on Sat @ 8 a.m to the public and goes till 4 p.m.
The club’s proposed Calendar photo shoot is slated for June 16th at the Burger Baron drive in @ 118 Ave/125 street. @ 8:30 a.m for 2 hours, the Alternate date is July 8th at the same time. The model (dressed in a 50’s car hop costume) & the photographer have been arranged. The fee is $35.00 per member and we need at least 12 vehicles for this, so far there are only 6 confirm as of to-day. If non-members would like to participate,their cost is $60.00 (fee covers the photo shoot fee, a calendar when printed & a 1 yr. membership) The members that have confirmed so far Gene B’s ‘56 wagon, Don C’s ’55 Bel Air, Norm M’s ’56 wagon, Jim K.’s 55 210, Bernie M’s p/u, Craig S’s ’57 chevy. We require more, If you want in contact Jim ASAP !!!
Bowties vs the World
All but two sponsors have sent in their fees but we should get their fees soon. The event posters are being printed at this time & Jim should have them all completed by the next week or so...
REMEMBER the Show n Shine is August 25at the NAPA Centre on 173 st/111 Ave.
We still require door Prizes as well.
Awards are being done by Prath Trophy again & the order is in. Outhouses are being looked after by Shawn G. More things pertaining to the Show n shine will be discussed at the July Meeting.
Anyone that knows a good food truck operation, do contact Jim with info.
REMEMBER – JULY 1 Daysland Cruise for their Canada Show N shine, Meet at approx. 8:30 a.m at the Esso station on Hwy 21 near Looma…
The Calmar cruise to be followed up soon… A open discussion on items needed by members or items for sale was presented plus a discussion on current projects that some have been involved in were discussed.
