The club treasurer’s report was given & our account is steady and still receiving income for the upcoming Swap Meet.. Monies used for swap meet expenses are being put back into the account. The treasurer’s report was accepted by all members present..

New Business

A request a few meetings ago by some members regarding club jackets.. Jim K. did some research on the topic and found that the Company that did our jackets some time ago, still has our club on file & the costs for both summer type and four season leather sleeved “melton” jackets are the cheapest than two other companies.. The Stormtech summer (lightweight) jacket is $137.00 w/embroidery work & for the Melton type is $152.00 w/embroidery work.. There is no minimum order currently.. Approx. 4 week turn around.. 3 current members have order jackets as of this print..

Swap meet

Our 1st attempt on hosting a Swap meet in the Edmonton Area was discussed & here is what is has been decided by all members.. (Please note as of this print 95% of the venue has been taken by vendors)

The tables will be provided by the good folks from Emmaus Lutheran Church & Armand L… in turn a donation from the club to the church for their tables will be given at the May meeting. This was decided by the club members rather than going with a “privateer company”..

We require members to help with set-up on Friday a.m.

The swap meet hours are Friday set-up/move in 1-10 p.m and the Big day is Saturday 8-4 p.m..

Admission is $ 5.00 per person and Kids 12 yrs. & under $ 2.00 per person.

The Strathcona Fire Marshall must be informed on the floor plan & operation at the venue.

A Silent Auction will also be added to this event, with the money raised going to the charity pot.

Numerous items have been donated & Thank-you to all our donators!!!

The monies raised from this swap meet (after all expenses are paid) will go into a pot & then added to the monies raised at our Annual Show n Shine in August, then the total amount in the pot will be dispersed to as many as 5 Kid’s charities in the Edmonton Area.

The ladies of club members have gracefully volunteered to work at the admission gate.. Wristbands for all vendors will be issued. Move out for all members is 4 p.m to 9 p.m.. All parking is free. Special Thank-you to you Ladies !!!

A motion for the club to provide refreshments to all volunteers was accepted by those in attendance.

The club has access to a meeting room for a get away area & where the refreshments are present.

The meeting was basically about the plans for the Swap meet.. Other club interests will be discussed at the May meeting.
