June minutes were read and widely accepted by those present.
Treasurer’s report for the month of June was given and accepted.
New Minutes
1- Members were reminded of attendance at the Touchmark Seniors home on July 8th.
2- Drayton Valley S/S on July 20th, The club is invited!!
3- Shop Tour to Fountain Tire on YHT was discussed, July 12th .
4- Website update: we had 2834 hits on our site, most popular was the photos provided of the Edmonton indoor Custom Car Show. Members are also reminded to forward their “pics” of their vehicles for placement on our members list.
5- Members held a discussion regarding “ads” on our swap & shop portion on our website.. Result being that it is a FREE service to paid club members & if a person is a non-member the fee is set at
$20.00 per submission ( 60 day limit ).. Members voted in Favor!
6- Meeting site location was brought up again(?), Brian C. to check into a location @ Rockin Robins in the west-end & to present his findings at the August meeting..
7- The Fifties dance @ MA Me O beach was discussed, Aug.30th.
Don.C. to address this at the August meeting.
8 – The Annual Club BBQ in Devon Is CANCELLED! A new venue will be presented at the August meeting..
9-Don C. to present a shop Tour idea to Atcheson’s in Sept. Info to be provided at the Aug. Meeting..
10-Daymion will pursue the idea of our club being involved with the exotic sports car guys in 2015 for a joint Cancer awareness day at Castrol Raceway..
Bowties vs The World 2014 Update.
Jim states that over 90% of our past sponsors are back with us, at this time he is waiting to hear from a couple of parties. Some Posters have been put up around town and all the “freebie” info has been addressed. Require some more Door Prizes and volunteers to come forward.. Will have to get Ballots and reg. cards ( for windows) done plus awards (when all sponsors come forward).
The Mall is waiting for tenants to step forward for the goodie bags.
